We are thrilled to welcome a new member to our management team. Maria Magoulas-Perkins joins the Van Dyke Team as a senior Vice President to build-on a highly distinguished Intelligence career that has involved leadership positions within both Government and Industry.
Maria initiated her Intelligence career as a multilinguist (Arabic, Greek and French) at the NSA. Over the span of her 23 year tenure at the NSA,Maria held senior technical and leadership roles mostly within the SIGINT Directorate and was a key player in establishing and leading various programs aimed at best investment of critical skill personnel to include hiring, training and retention. Maria's NSA career culminated with senior leadership responsibility for Operation SIGINT, a mission-critical transformational construct to improve intelligence production and resolve pervasive and "wicked problems" in the development of actionable intelligence. Maria then spent two years in a Senior Congressional Staff position with the U.S. House Permanent Special Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSSCI) where she served as the Director of National Intelligence Program Monitor as well as the resident Subject Matter Expert on intelligence analysis/language analysis.
After her time on Capitol Hill, Maria ventured into the commercial world as a Senior Vice President at McNeil Technologies (now AECOM) and the National Interest Security Company (NISC), which was later acquired by IBM. As an executive leader within the commercial sector, Maria leveraged her analytical experience and longstanding relationships within Government to build successful new practice areas around the delivery of language and intelligence analysis services to the DoD and IC.
At Van Dyke, Maria will draw upon the full breadth of her experience to build a new business unit within Van Dyke focused on Intelligence Analysis. While this new business unit will involve traditional services around the analysis of intelligence data, Maria will be spearheading the effort to position Van Dyke at the confluence of Intel Analysis, Cyber Security, and Big Data Analytics through the application of best practice and innovative analytical approaches to the big data challenge inherent in today's Cyber environments.
