Federal Civilian Agencies, within, and external to, the Intelligence Community
(IC), are transitioning their legacy systems with a goal to be interoperable
with DMS. These agencies may be doing this for a number of reasons – aging
legacy systems, interoperability requirements to assist in the fight against
terrorism, etc.. Most of these agencies only have a minimal presence in, or
connectivity to, either the DoD or IC and have limited knowledge of, or
experience with, the DMS technology and those integrated solutions being
offered. These Civilian Agencies need to connect to NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and/or
JWICS and the associated processes for connectivity, implementation,
certification, and accreditation require a level of experience that may be
lacking.
- VDTG can provide the design, development,
and integration of DMS solutions for these civilian agencies as they
transition to DMS compatibility.
- VDTG engineers have led the DMS
implementation throughout DoD and the IC and we can provide assistance with
the latest integration and interoperability issues.
- VDTG will work with your agency to
identify requirements and map those requirements to existing capabilities,
while minimizing the need for custom solutions. If we identify gaps between
the identified requirements and existing capabilities, our engineers can
design and implement a solution that preserves the agency’s business model,
while remaining interoperable with the existing (and evolving) DMS
environment.
- VDTG engineers
have taken many Government agencies from the early planning stages to a
fully operational state.
- As DMS has
evolved, VDTG has stayed current with the technology. We’ve even helped to
define the changing DMS landscape while representing customers in the many
DMS committees and working groups.
- VDTG continues to
be instrumental in implementing cost effective solutions that interoperate
with, and transition our customers from legacy systems.
- The trend toward
Network Centric Enterprise Solutions (NCES) will involve the continued
evolution of DMS to a compatible network centric environment. VDTG is
participating in those NCES working groups developing the required changes.
